Aaron Varhola is a native of Bethel Park, PA, and moved out to the Pacific Northwest in 1996 after law school. Aaron brings a wealth of bankruptcy and consumer finance knowledge to Kivel and Howard; he has practiced consumer bankruptcy law for over 15 years, and enjoys finding solutions to members’ financial challenges.
Aaron was a co-winner of the 2005 Oregon Trial Lawyers Association’s Arthur H. Bryant Public Justice Award for his work documenting police actions at a 2002 demonstration that led to a favorable settlement with the City of Portland.
Aaron is a fan of the Portland Winterhawks and all Pittsburgh sports teams, and lives in Northeast Portland with his wife and a mischievous cat who makes sure he gets up in the morning to feed him.
